Italian Inflation Rises from 2.9% to 3.3% in August
Italy’s annual inflation rate rose to 3.3% in August, up from 2.9% in July, while the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased 0.5% month-on-month.
Core inflation, excluding energy and fresh food, declined from 1.6% to 1.5%.
The rise in overall inflation was mainly driven by higher energy prices, with regulated energy prices rising 18.8% and non-regulated energy prices increasing 16.9% year-on-year.
