US futures up amid US-Iran de-escalation
Wall Street stock futures surged on Monday after the United States and Iran stopped exchanging airstrikes over the weekend, providing cautious optimism that the two sides could turn to diplomacy again. Oil plunged on the prospect of increased supply, with Brent losing as much as 7%.
The Dow Jones jumped 0.84% or 437 points at 4:19 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 soared by 1.48% and the S&P 500 grew by 0.86%.
The euro traded 0.22% higher compared to the dollar and sold for 1.13957 at 4:30 am ET.
