Germany confirms inflation up from 2% to 2.2% in August

The annual inflation rate in Germany stood at 2.2% in August, as the preliminary document and analysts had predicted, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) revealed in its final report published on Friday. Month-on-month, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) went up by 0.1%.
